Communications and Messaging Policy.

Last updated: October 9, 2026. How Scrini AI and the employers that use Scrini contact people by email, SMS, WhatsApp and phone, the consent we require and how you can opt out at any time.

Summary

1. Scope

This Communications and Messaging Policy ("Policy") explains how Scrini AI Private Limited (CIN U62099UP2025PTC236974) ("Scrini", "we", "us") and the employers that use the Scrini platform ("Customers") contact individuals by email, short message service ("SMS"), WhatsApp, voice calls (including calls conducted by an AI voice agent) and other electronic channels (together, "Channels"). It applies to (a) communications Scrini sends on its own behalf, including through the Workor network ("Scrini Communications"); and (b) communications Customers send to job candidates through the platform, including outreach Scrini carries out on a Customer's instructions ("Recruiting Communications"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, Candidate Privacy Notice and Terms of Service.

2. Roles

For Scrini Communications, Scrini is the controller (under India's DPDP Act, the data fiduciary). For Recruiting Communications, the Customer is the controller (data fiduciary) and the sender, and Scrini acts as its processor on the Customer's documented instructions and under our Data Processing Addendum. Every Recruiting Communication identifies the Customer as the employer on whose behalf it is sent.

3. Scrini Communications use first-party data only

Scrini sends Scrini Communications only to individuals who provided their contact details directly to Scrini or Workor, for example by submitting a form on our website, requesting a demonstration, creating an account, joining the Workor network, attending a Scrini event or contacting us. Scrini does not purchase, rent or lease contact lists, and does not use contact details obtained from data brokers or lead generators, for Scrini Communications.

4. Where candidate data comes from

Recruiting Communications may be sent to (a) individuals who applied for a role or otherwise provided their details to the Customer; (b) individuals in the Customer's own records, such as past applicants; and (c) individuals whose professional information is publicly available on job boards, professional networks and similar sources and whom Scrini or the Customer has identified as potentially suitable for a specific role ("Sourced Candidates"). Sourced Candidates' data is processed only for that Customer's recruiting, is never sold and is not made available to any other Customer.

5. Consent and channel rules

(a) SMS, WhatsApp and automated or AI calls. Scrini and its Customers send SMS and WhatsApp messages, and place calls using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial, prerecorded or AI-generated voice, only to individuals who have provided their mobile number to the sender and given prior express consent to be contacted on that Channel by that sender. Prior express written consent is obtained where applicable law requires it. Mobile numbers identified through sourcing are not used for these Channels unless and until the individual opts in. (b) Email. Scrini Communications by email are sent with consent or, where the law permits, to existing customers on an opt-out basis. Recruiting Communications to Sourced Candidates may be sent by email where applicable law permits, on the basis of the Customer's legitimate interest in offering a relevant employment opportunity. Every such email identifies the employer and the sender, states where the individual's details were obtained, links to our Candidate Privacy Notice and includes a working one-click unsubscribe. (c) Consent requests. Every consent request names the business that will send the messages, the Channels, the type of messages and how to opt out, and links to this Policy. Consent is specific to that sender, is never transferred to or used by any other business and is never a condition of applying for a job or buying a service.

6. Channel rules at a glance

Which Channels may be used, and when, depending on how we or the employer came to have your details.

7. Transactional and service messages

Messages that a recipient needs in order to complete something they asked for, such as application confirmations, interview scheduling and reminders, verification codes, account security alerts and billing notices, are sent through the Channel the recipient chose and only as applicable law permits. Where required, they are registered as transactional or service communications.

8. SMS terms

By opting in to SMS from Scrini AI, or from an employer that uses Scrini, you agree to receive recurring messages from the sender named when you opted in: about your account and our services for Scrini AI, or about your job application, interviews and related opportunities for an employer. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@scrini.ai or +91 9116489709. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. WhatsApp

We use only the WhatsApp Business Platform. WhatsApp messages are sent only to individuals who have given their mobile number and opted in to receive WhatsApp messages from the business named when they opted in. Messages that begin a conversation use templates approved by Meta. Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP or by blocking the business. We comply with, and require our Customers to comply with, the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service.

10. Voice calls and AI agents

Every call made by an AI voice agent begins by disclosing that the caller is an AI agent and naming the business on whose behalf it calls. Where a call is recorded or transcribed, notice is given at the start, and consent is obtained where the law of any party's location requires it. The recipient may at any time end the call, ask to speak with a person or ask not to be called again, and that request is recorded as an opt-out.

11. India

For recipients in India, commercial communications are sent in accordance with the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018, as amended (TCCCPR), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. In particular: (a) SMS are sent only through headers and content templates registered on the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform by the registered Principal Entity; (b) promotional voice calls are placed only from the designated 140 series and service or transactional voice calls only from the designated 160 series, and never from ordinary ten-digit numbers; (c) preferences registered in the National Customer Preference Register are respected unless explicit consent has been recorded as the TCCCPR requires; (d) every promotional communication contains an opt-out mechanism; and (e) consent is not requested again from a recipient who has opted out within the period set by the TCCCPR, currently ninety (90) days.

12. Contact hours

Calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages are sent only between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the recipient's local time, or within any narrower window that applicable law requires, except messages the recipient has just requested, such as a verification code.

13. Opting out

Any recipient may withdraw consent or stop communications at any time, free of charge and as easily as consent was given, by any reasonable means, including: (a) replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE or OPT OUT to an SMS or WhatsApp message; (b) using the unsubscribe link in any email; (c) telling the caller or AI agent during a call; or (d) emailing support@scrini.ai with the subject "Opt-out". Opt-outs take effect promptly and no later than two (2) days for email and ten (10) business days for other Channels, or any shorter period applicable law requires. An opt-out applies to all communications from the same sender on that Channel. Where the law permits, one message confirming the opt-out may be sent.

14. Mobile information is not shared

Mobile numbers, SMS and WhatsApp opt-in data and consent records are not sold, rented, shared or transferred to any third party or affiliate for its own marketing or promotional purposes. They are shared only with service providers that deliver messages on the sender's behalf, such as telecommunications carriers and messaging platforms, under contract. All other categories of sharing described in our Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

15. Records

For every consent and opt-out we keep a record of the date, time, source, the wording presented, the Channel and the sender. We keep these records for the duration of the relationship and for at least five (5) years afterwards, or longer where the law requires, and make them available to the relevant Customer and, where required, to regulators.

16. Customer obligations and enforcement

Customers must comply with this Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law, and must hold the lawful basis and consent required for every Recruiting Communication. Scrini applies the Channel and consent rules in this Policy in the platform and may pause or suspend outreach, sequences or accounts that breach it.

17. Laws we follow

Depending on the recipient's location, these include the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules and the TCCCPR in India; the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules, the CAN-SPAM Act and state telemarketing laws in the United States; the GDPR, UK GDPR, the ePrivacy Directive and PECR in the EU and UK; CASL in Canada; and the Spam Act 2003 in Australia. We also follow the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices and the requirements of carriers, Meta and mailbox providers.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as laws and channel requirements change. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where a change materially affects how we use consent you have given, we will tell you before it takes effect.
